Enjoy A True Reasonably-Priced Farm-To-Table Restaurant Experience At A Working Florida Farm & Store

Having a farm-to-table experience can be an attractive option for Floridians who want to eat healthy or who want the freshest meal possible. So those Floridians may be interested in knowing about Fort Myer's Buckingham Farms which is a working farm that includes a country store and restaurant that features the farm's harvest at arguably reasonable prices.

About Buckingham Farms: This is an 80-acre ranch in Fort Myers that features a hydroponic farm, country store, and restaurant in a lovely countryside setting.

The family that owns the business purchased it in 2009 and then decided that they would provide what Florida supermarkets could not - the freshest vegetables. What started as a small produce stand would evolve into cooking demonstrations and eventually a restaurant.

Patrons give Buckingham Farms a very high 4.8 out of 5 stars. Many reviewers commented on the picturesque setting and the very fresh food. A reviewer named Melanie wrote in part:

"I cannot say enough great things about this farm-to-table restaurant. The food is phenomenal while the daily specials are creative and tasty. The preservatives and produce are simply delightful...The landscape is a wonderful sight for the gardener in all of us while the food satisfies even the pickiest foodie..."

Is It Reasonably Priced?: A look at the breakfast menu suggests that menu items do not cost much more than restaurants without a farm-to-table option. For example, a BLT and egg biscuit with farm-fresh eggs and vegetables is $9.95. Eggs benedict with the farm's breakfast potatoes is $13.95. For lunch, a farmer's market panini is $12.95 and the farm's own Cuban sandwich is $12.95.
