Florida Is Getting New Prototype Olive Garden Close To A Culver's, Dunkin Donuts, And Slim Chickens

Some Floridians are aware that Darden Restaurants are headquartered in Orlando. It has brands like LongHorn Steakhouse, Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Cheddar's, and Eddie V's. And one Darden brand, Olive Garden, is expanding in Florida with a new location in Jacksonville.

About Olive Garden In Florida: Olive Garden was actually founded by General Mills in the early 1980s. By 1989, it was the fastest-growing restaurant chain at that time. It became a brand of Darden in 1995.

The chain serves traditional Italian fare but is probably best known for its neverending breadsticks and salad.

There are around 77 Olive Garden locations in Florida.

Some Floridians embrace the chain. For example, a location in Jacksonville earns 4.4 out of 5 stars on Google reviews. Some complimented the food and the value. For example, a reviewer named Vera wrote:

"Everything I tried was delicious. The breadsticks and salad were fresh and flavorful, and the pasta dishes were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. The staff were friendly and attentive. It's the perfect place for a casual meal with friends or family."

A New Location Is Coming To Florida Close To Some Other Popular Eateries: A new Olive Garden location has reportedly been proposed at the intersection of Hodges and Butler Boulevards.

It would be close to a mixed-use development that includes Culver's, Dunkin Donuts, Slim Chickens, hundreds of residences, and an Embassy Suites hotel.

The location will be a "Domani" prototype which features an alfresco space that merges indoor and outdoor dining and a dedicated "to-go" area.

The author is not affiliated with Olive Garden, Dunkin Donuts, Slim Chickens, or any other restaurants.
