FL Gets New Prototype Of Largest Family-Owned Asian Chain In The US, Known For Its Orange Chicken

Floridians who love Asian food but who want the predictability of a chain have some choices - from P.F. Changs to China Wok. However, neither of these can claim to be the largest family-owned and operated Asian dining concept in America. But Florida got a new location of the restaurant that took that honor - a Panda Express in Poinciana - and the store is a bit unique.

About Panda Express: This chain began in 1983 in Glendale, California. From those humble beginnings, it would grow dramatically. Today, it has 2,300 stores and 47,000 associates, and it earns approximately, $3 billion in sales. There are around 121 Panda Express locations in Florida.

Its most popular menu item, orange chicken, has been praised by Eat This Not That.

Some Floridians enjoy the chain. A reviewer named Aubrey had this to say about a location in Lutz:

"My husband and I just had Panda Express for the first time ever and we absolutely loved it. Great quality food and good portions. Everything tasted so delicious. Very satisfied!"

The New Florida Store: Florida got a new Panda Express at 4660 Marigold Ave in Poinciana in September of 2024. The restaurant is unique because it has a design that is referred to as “Panda Home," which combines Chinese architecture with modern design. The new design is expected to come to more locations in 2025.

Some patrons who visited the new store had nice things to say about the inside on Yelp.

    Jose wrote:

"Me and my wife waited one week before just to make sure. We were impressed with the friendly and quick service. The food was extra hot and delicious. The place is beautiful and well-lit."

    And Yancarlo wrote:

"Delicious, fresh food that I ate before I could get a picture. I went on day one and was the second person in line! It's in a nice, newly-developing area of Poinciana and is definitely worth the try. I will be returning! The inside is nice for eating in too!"

The author is not affiliated with Panda Express or any other restaurants.
