Four Minnesota girls high school flag football teams met at TCO Stadium in Eagan, Minnesota for the first girls high school flag football championships.

La Crescent-Hokah faced off with Houston in the first round of the 4-team playoff.

La Crescent would lead 12 to 8 at the half, but in the second half the Lancers came alive. Brooklyn Mitchell would score multiple touchdowns as La Crescent would win 38-8.

The Lancers would then face off with Rosemount in the championship game.

It was a close game late in the second half. La Crescent trailed by 7, but after a long touchdown pass from Eve Cody to Savanah Klinski the Lancers pull within 1.

Instead of going for the 5 yard 1-point conversion, the Lancers opted for the 10 yard 2-point conversion which would give them the lead.

The attempt would go off the hands of the receiver, as La Crescent fell short 27-26.
