    UPDATE: 32nd Annual Rail Fair cancelled due to flooding

    Due to flooding in Copeland Park, the 2024 Rail Fair scheduled for Saturday, July 13 has been cancelled.

    Organizers from The 4000 Foundation confirmed the closure in an email Wednesday morning.

    Coming to La Crosse: The 32nd Annual Rail Fair

    LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -- The 32nd Annual Rail Fair is getting ready to pull into La Crosse's Copeland Park next week.

    Tuesday, the President of the 4000 Foundation, Mark Hamre hit the rails with News 8 Now this Morning anchor Alexandra Carter, and meteorologist Art Jarrett to discuss how the event helps raise funds to help maintain the Short Line Railroad Museum.

    The event will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at La Crosse's Copeland Park and features roughly 250 different vendors ranging from antique model train displays, railroad memorabilia, as well as toy trains.

    Tickets are $5, children 12 and under are free.

    The Short Line Railroad Museum will also be open for guided tours during the event.
