Preps vs Greasers Car Show at Riverfest

LA CROSSE (WKBT) --  Car enthusiasts of all ages headed over to the Preps vs Greasers Car Show at Riverfest on Saturday afternoon.

There, attendees could see cars in all shapes and sizes, including early models of the Corvette and Mustang.

Saturday's car show also raised awareness for the non-profit Chariots 4 Hope, which helps people struggling because of a transportation barrier.

Nyhus Schaffer is the Executive Director for Chariots 4 Hope.  He said doing a car show to raise awareness for a car-based charity was a no-brainer.

"My passion that got me into helping with this charity were vehicles, and with that vehicle presence we have a lot of people that are friends and community members that also love vehicles that help support our organization... it's been an awesome day, I'm sure there's hundreds that have been through," said Schaffer.

Schaffer said he hopes Chariots 4 Hope can bring the car show back to Riverfest next year.
