Brief standoff with La Crosse PD ends peacefully

LA CROSSE (WKBT)-- A brief standoff between La Crosse Police Department and a 33-year-old male Friday evening.

In a release, La Crosse Police said it went to execute a search warrant for Dameon L. Hendricks at the 900 block of Cameron Avenue. When officers arrived, Hendricks barricaded himself in the residence and kept others inside from leaving.

Officers negotiated with Hendricks and he was eventually taken into custody. No injuries were reported.

Police have arrested Hendricks on four counts related to an issued bench warrant, as well as probation violation.
