Woman arrested in La Crosse for child trafficking bound over for trial

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- A woman accused of trafficking a minor in La Crosse is bound over for trial.

26-year-old Courtney Clickner from Winona appeared in La Crosse County Court on Monday.

Clickner was arrested in June after investigators learned that she created an online escort service account for a 16-year-old girl. This came after La Crosse Police arrested 30-year-old Dwayne Davis for allegedly assaulting and trafficking the girl.

In court, Clickner plead not guilty to the single felony count of child trafficking she faces. The judge found probable cause to continue with the trial.

Clickner is scheduled to appear in court again on Aug. 9 for a pre-trial conference.

Davis, who is charged with multiple felony counts including trafficking of a child, child sexual exploitation and child enticement, will appear on Aug. 8. He is currently in La Crosse County Jail with a $50,000 cash bond.
