UW Health, Mayo Clinic nationally recognized in U.S. News and World Report

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- Both UW-Health and Mayo Clinic received national recognition in the U.S. News and World Report's "Best Hospitals" list.

University of Wisconsin Hospitals was ranked number 1 in Wisconsin for the 13th year in a row. UW Health also received accolades for seven medical and surgical specialties ranked among the best in the U.S.: ear, nose and throat, gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, geriatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, pulmonology and lung surgery, and urology.

Mayo Clinic hospitals in both Eau Claire and Mankato were named best regional hospitals. Mayo Clinic's La Crosse location was rated as "high-performing" in three areas: acute myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure and pneumonia.

Mayo Clinic hospitals were ranked number 1 in Minnesota.
