La Crosse Mediterranean Festival prepares to celebrate 50th anniversary

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- The Mediterranean Festival is coming back and this year they're celebrating their 50th anniversary.

Preparations for food and the bake sale began Wednesday.

People are invited to come out and delight in authentic mediterranean cuisine including grilled kabobs, sliced lamb and baklava.

Folk dancers and music with European and Middle Eastern flares will be the main source of entertainment. They will also have face painting for the kids and tours of the church.

The festival will take place at St. Elias Church on Sunday.
