Aquinas outlasts Caledonia in UWL Summer League championship game

In a summer where they saw 47 teams playing throughout the four levels a champion was crowned in the final game of the night.

The Aquinas girls took down Caledonia to earn themselves some t-shirts for finishing in first place.

The five teams that were competing in the Varsity A Championship bracket were Aquinas, Bangor, Caledonia, Spring Grove and West Salem.

In addition to helping the players and coaches get in some extra work, some UWL women's basketball players got to learn how to officiate so they can give back to the game.

One of the league's directors Bobbi Vandenberg said the league has been going on for at least 30 years.
