    League of Women Voters Virtual Forum

    La Crosse (WKBT) -- The Democratic candidates for Wisconsin's 96th Assembly District participated in a virtual forum tonight.

    The league of women voters of the la crosse area hosted Tara Johnson and Steve Campbell for an hour-long online forum.

    League moderators asked the two candidates about their perspectives on issues like abortion, public education, and voting access.

    A largely rural 96th district now includes the south side of La Crosse under new state maps.

    Both Democrats said the person representing the 96th should also preserve the area's farmland.
