Why Auburn sophomore Keldric Faulk is poised for a sizable second season
The past year has been one of maturation for Keldric Faulk, and it showed another evolution in that regard last week. Faulk, a rising sophomore, became the youngest player to represent Auburn football at the SEC Media Days event in Dallas, joining head coach Hugh Freeze and a pair of seniors in quarterback Payton Thorne and Eugene Asante.

Freeze: Wright, offensive line ‘should be good’
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... Auburn offensive guard and Selma native Jeremiah Wright was mentioned at the SEC Football Media Days in Dallas on July 18. Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze was breaking the Tigers’ depth chart at every position and spoke about their offensive line. Entering fall practice on August 1, Freeze said that Wright gets the early nod to start at right guard.

Emma Blake Love, 82, transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday July 19, 2024, surrounded by family and friends, at her family residence. She was born on Aug. 19, 1941, in Roanoke, Al., to the late Richard Blake and Emma Lue Jackson. Emma joined First Baptist Church in Roanoke, Al. at an early age. She graduated from Randolph County Training School, Roanoke in 1960. Shortly after graduating high school, she moved to Chattanooga, and later began working at Memorial Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse for more than 20 years. After retiring from Memorial Hospital and enjoying her time off, Emma decided to return to work and accepted a position with the City of Chattanooga until her second retirement. Upon establishing her home in Chattanooga, Emma joined Second Missionary Baptist Church in 1962 where she served on the Nurse’s Guild and Missionary Union.
