Opelika Police & Fire to compete in a grill-off to raise money for United Way of Lee County
The Opelika Police and Fire Departments will go head-to-head at a grill-off to raise money for the United Way of Lee County. Formally Known as “Summer in The Park,” and “Burgers for Bubba,” the Burgers & Badges Grill Off is set for Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Municipal Park.
Why Auburn sophomore Keldric Faulk is poised for a sizable second season
The past year has been one of maturation for Keldric Faulk, and it showed another evolution in that regard last week. Opelika Sportsplex to host statewide swimming competition
The City of Opelika will welcome over 1,200 of the best swimmers from across the state to the city over the weekend for a championship swim meet. The Opelika SportsPlex and Aquatics Center will host the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association State Swimming Championship on Friday and Saturday. The two-day swim meet will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the sportsplex’s new outdoor pool.
Gamecocks to clash with Tigers in 2026 season
JACKSONVILLE — Jacksonville State will take on a Southeastern Conference opponent during the 2026 season. Athletic Director Greg Seitz announced that the Gamecocks will travel south to Auburn on Sept. 26, 2026 to take on the Tigers for the first time since the 2015 season, when the host Tigers came away with a 27-20 overtime win.
