Trail Blazers to Face Rockets in Final Summer League Game
The Portland Trail Blazers will face the Houston Rockets in their fifth, and final, game of the 2024 NBA Summer League schedule in Las Vegas. The 2-2 Blazers did not qualify for the tournament title bracket. They and the Rockets—also carrying a 2-2 record—will play the nightcap game on Sunday before returning to their summer workouts and/or vacations.

I-84 eastbound closed from La Grande to Baker City due to wildfire
BAKER CITY, Oregon (CBS2) — TripCheck says I-84 eastbound is closed from La Grande (Exit 265) to Baker City (Exit 304) due to wildfire activity east of Baker City. I-84 remains closed in both directions between Baker City and Ontario. The Oregon Department of Transportation says to delay travel or use an alternate route by staying on the main highways. Additionally, do not follow GPS directions or detour on county or forest roads as these are unsuitable for interstate traffic.

After fatal drug overdose, Oregon State Hospital resumes limited in-person visits for patients
Oregon State Hospital will resume in-person visits for some patients on Monday after suspending them in May after a patient died of a suspected fentanyl overdose. Officials at the state-run psychiatric facility suspended in-person visits between patients and their family and friends so the hospital could retool its visiting policies, with an eye toward preventing visitors from passing drugs or other contraband on to patients. The hospital has nearly 700 patients between its main campus in Salem and a smaller satellite campus in Junction City.
