There's a new wine bar in the area.

Madeline's Nibbles and Wine is one of the newest editions to La Grange's historic downtown. The restaurant, 111 N. First Ave., has tasked itself with trying "to bring an elegant dining experience to the everyday guest," according to its website .

Owner and husband-and-wife duo Carlos Bojanos-Najera and Hannah Stone, are bringing their favorite flavors and extensive restaurant experience to La Grange. Bojanos-Najera and Stone worked in the restaurant industry in Brooklyn, New York for 20 years.

According to Stone, she and her husband would like to host a soft launch in mid-August. Once open, the restaurant will serve a variety of small plates and desserts and a wide selection of wines.

But unlike many wine bars, Madeline's Nibbles and Wine is family-friendly, making it unique.

"Family are the best people to enjoy a meal with," Stone said, mentioning that they want the restaurant space to feel inviting and inclusive.

While an opening date has not yet been announced, Stone says anticipated opening hours will be between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m, Monday-Saturday.

"We are so excited as this has been a lifelong dream of ours," Stone told the Courier Journal. "We are very happy to join the community out here. We want people to be able to enjoy a wonderful meal without feeling like they have to go so far."
