    The Mobile Library: Mondays at the Park will be held 10:30 a.m. to noon Monday, May 20, at White Plains Regional Park, 1015 St. Charles Parkway in St. Charles. Pop-up library services include Wi-Fi access, library card services, crafts to go, 500 by 5 starter kits, and materials for check out. Registration required.

    Knit and crochet for a cause 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 20, at the Waldorf West branch. Take part a project that will benefit the Waldorf community. Staff will be on hand to teach the basics. Bringing own materials is encouraged, but some will be provided.

    The Outreach Van will be available 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 21, at the Clark Senior Center, 1210 Charles St. in La Plata. Pop-Up Library services include Wi-Fi access, library card services, crafts to go, 500 by 5 starter kits, and materials for check out.

    Charlotte Hall Academy: From Roger B. Taney to Sly Stallone will be held virtually 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 20. Jim Gibb will discuss the history of the Charlotte Hall Academy, which was founded in the 1790s. The illustrated presentation offers a history of this local institution assembled from archaeological and archival information. Registration required.

    Family Learning Fair: Kindness, empathy and compassion will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, at the Leonardtown branch. Fun, games, crafts and food for families to help encourage young children’s ability to show kindness and compassion. Dinner will be provided. Registration not required.

    Board game night will be held 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the Charlotte Hall branch. Bring your own games. Ages 16 and older, under 16 permitted with parent or guardian. Registration required.

    Cricut Crafts: Vinyl designs for signs will be held 10 a.m,. to noon Friday, May 24, at the Leonardtown branch. The introductory class will cover how to use an electronic die-cutting machine called the Cricut Maker to make clean and precise cuts on adhesive vinyl and transfer that design onto a wooden sign board to take home. No experience necessary, all materials provided. Registration required.

    Writers by the Bay will be held online 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 17. All writers and would-be writers are welcome to come for critique and camaraderie.

    Job Seeker Resources: Skill builders and interview workshop will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a professional interview workshop will be held 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 22, at the Prince Frederick branch. Meet with Maryland Department of Labor, Veterans Program, Senior Community Service Employment and Job Service representatives. Registration required. The workshop will discuss best practices enhancing your interviewing skills by providing insight on dress attire, appropriate attitude, and professional etiquette and presentation. Virtual interview techniques are also discussed.
