Bedford Boro moves ahead with social drinking district
The Bedford Borough Council has moved forward with a plan to allow a social drinking district in a to-be-determined area of the borough. Kenny Fetterman, ordinance committee chair, explained what the idea of a social district could look like based on other ones in effect.

Sharon E. (Bohn) Scollo
Sharon E. (Bohn) Scollo, 74, of Manns Choice, died June 19, 2024 after an extended and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on January 21, 1950 in Cumberland, MD, a daughter of the late Lloyd C. and Evelyn L. (Amick) Bohn. She graduated from Bedford High School in 1968 and attended Point Park College in Pittsburgh. She attended the Woodstock Music and Arts Fair in 1969, which was the signature event of her generation. It was billed as “3 days of Peace & Music” and attended by nearly 500,000 young people, with 32 musical acts. It was one of the largest music festivals in history. She later joked that she was invited to go because she was the only one of her friends who had at tent, and because they knew she could cook, and that she would take care of them if something went wrong!
