Power outages after severe storms in NEPA
The cleanup work is underway from last night's band of heavy thunderstorms that knocked down trees and power lines in several parts of the area. Officials in Lackawanna County say a Carbondale man was struck by lightning through a window, and a downed tree knocked out power for many residents at Harvey's Lake. Many people are still without power, and PPL says that some areas may not have power fully restored until this afternoon or tonight.
