Monticello, NY — While many of the upper echelon New York sired fillies were absent due to competing in the Delvin Miller Memorial over the weekend at The Meadowlands, Sister Mary Maude made short work of a short field Monday afternoon (July 15) in a New York Sire Stake event for 3-year-old trotting fillies at Monticello Raceway.
Three-vehicle crash in Cochecton results in one death
COCHECTON – A noontime three-vehicle crash on Sullivan County Route 115 in the Town of Cochecton resulted in the death of one of the drivers, State Police said. Troopers said a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2024 Ford 650 Budget rental truck and a 2023 GMC were traveling north of County Route 115 when the Budget truck crossed over into the opposite lane and struck a 2023 Freightliner truck traveling south.

The unnamed man was stopped in Tobyhanna on July 5 and "deemed to be under the influence," according to troopers.
