Parolee Headed Back To Prison For Sound System Theft In Princeton
Remember the story about a van and trailer full of sound equipment being stolen last fall in Princeton? The man behind the crime is headed to prison. Thirty-one-year-old Dean Blair of Tiskilwa pleaded guilty last week in Bureau County Court to felony counts of theft and possession of a stolen vehicle. He was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison. Blair also has to pay the victim, Gary Swanson, nearly $14,000 in restitution.

Kewanee/Wethersfield Townships Declared Local State of Emergency
The Henry County Office of Emergency Management has declared a local state of emergency for Kewanee and Wethersfield Townships. Residents in these areas who are uninsured or underinsured and do not have the physical ability to clear downed trees from their property, may request assistance from the Henry County Office of Emergency Management. The Henry County OEM has partnered with local non-profit to provide tree cutting services for qualifying residents. “This is an offer for physical assistance, and not a financial benefit.”
