New Details On Streator City Park Shooting
If you've been following the story about a weekend shooting at City Park in Streator, more details have been released. Investigators say at around 4:45 Saturday afternoon, two men had an apparent dispute at the park. One man left, only to come back with several others. Police believe the man who left and came back, walked up to the man he argued with earlier and fired several shots from a semi-automatic handgun. The victim, according to Streator police, was wounded "at least twice". The accused shooter fled the scene in a blue coupe that was later found abandoned on the south side of Streator.
Fire Departments Respond To Reported Garage Fire In La Salle
A fire broke out Monday afternoon a few blocks northeast of L-P High School. Just past 12:30, La Salle, Peru and Utica firefighters were called about a garage on fire in the 800 block of Lafayette Street. The detached garage was fully engulfed by time crews started arriving. Nobody was hurt in the blaze and it was contained to the garage.

Police arrest teen after Iowa mall shooting that left 2 people hurt
DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — Investigators arrested a teenager in connection with a shooting at an Iowa mall that left the teen and another person wounded and sent people running for safety, police said Tuesday. Police arrested a 16-year-old on several weapons charges after learning he had been taken by a private car to a hospital after the shooting Monday afternoon inside NorthPark Mall in Davenport, a city of 100,000 people located along the Mississippi River. The teen and another person shot at each other inside the mall, Davenport Police said in a news release. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening. The shooting prompted shoppers and workers to seek shelter inside store dressing rooms and elsewhere while others ran out of the mall.
