LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO - A California state resident was killed in a vehicle crash in Lafayette County Saturday afternoon. Highway Patrol's investigation determined a vehicle driven by Braulia Cabera-Castro, 22, (of Rancho Cucamonga, CA) traveled off Westbound I-70, overcorrected off the right side, overturned, and hit a tree. Cabera-Castro was pronounced deceased at the scene. Remains were transported to Hoefer Funeral Home.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY — A three-vehicle crash in Lafayette County Thursday afternoon left five Odessa residents injured. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Chevrolet Silverado driven by John R. Daniel traveled into the southbound lane of MO 131 at Mulberry Road and struck the sides of a Honda Accord driven by Brandon K. Meador and a Ford F150 driven by Sonja E. Begemann.
Lafayette County Warrants Issued for Scott Allen Motley
LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo - Multiple warrants have been issued in Lafayette County for a Buckner man being held for a separate incident in Clay County. According to probable cause statements, 44-year-old Scott Allen Motley was first under investigation following an alleged rolling domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend on US Highway 24 on July 2nd. The woman informed the Missouri State Highway Patrol that Motley had rear-ended her and then pursued her down the road. He cut her off on the shoulder and then back into her. Troopers were able to use a camera along 24 to confirm the woman's claims and trace a red Pontiac car back to Motley. At that time Motley had three active suspensions for his driver's license. He was also on probation for forgery and false identification. Charges on that warrant are for first-degree harassment, armed criminal action, and third-degree domestic assault.
