    Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is particular about everything in football. From the cleanliness of the weight room to the music they play during practice.

    He is even measured in the language he uses when talking about what he likes to see and what he doesn’t like to see in his players.

    At his most recent press conference following the cut down from 90 to 53 players, Harbaugh was asked about his level of satisfaction level with Easton Stick. Harbaugh didn’t quite answer the question but used the time to talk about not liking the word satisfaction and his opinion of other words in accurately describing football progress.

    “Satisfied. I mean that is just a word I’d never use in connection to football in any way. So going forward that word is just.. I hardly ever… Even I cringe.. That’s a cringeworthy word, you know. That’s in the bottom five, as it relates to to football words. It would not even be up there in the in the top five. It would be in the bottom five. Comfortable would be right there with unsatisfied. That just doesn’t resonate to me in football.”

    Later in the press conference, he talked a bit deeper about the benefit of having an expanded roster and its effect on the comfortability of the 53 players on the active roster.

    Before the the the changes in the rules, a guy could really level off. Like, “Hey I’m parked here this is where I’m at.” …Human nature takes over and you don’t have that urgency to get as good at football as you possibly can. I think there’s just much more incentive right now.”

    Jim Harbaugh’s Top 5 Football Words:

    Unprompted, Harbaugh also offered a list of words he prefers to use when talking about matters of football;

    “The other words are better. Engaged. That’s a tremendous word. Execution. That’s a top five word. Reckoning. Those are those are real football words to me.”
