Coming into the 2024 season, if you were not a USC Trojans fan, you probably didn’t know anything about QB Miller Moss. But through two weeks of play, he has quickly become a household name, and fans are not the only ones taking notice.

Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports just released his 2025 NFL Mock Draft (yes, in September), and he has Miller Moss getting drafted extremely high, meaning he will be one and done at USC.

On the USC LAFB Show , we have talked about the real possibility that Moss can play his way into Heisman contention and into the first round of the NFL Draft.

Not only is he playing for the College Football quarterback guru, Lincoln Riley, but he has proven in just three starts (including the Holiday Bowl last year) that he has tremendous pocket presence, athleticism, improved arm talent, and most importantly, unparalleled poise.

Trapasso took it one step further as he mocked him as the 2nd quarterback drafted, going 3rd overall to the New York Giants.

Surprisingly, Trapasso had Miami QB, Cam Ward, as the first QB taken going 2nd overall to the Carolina Panthers. He then had Georgia QB Carson Beck going 6th to the Raiders, Jaxson Dart 14th to the Steelers, and Garrett Nussmeier 16th to the Browns. As you notice, he does not have Quinn Ewers or Shedeur Sanders going in the first round.

There is still a ton of football to play and a lot can change, but this does show that the hype around Miller Moss is very real, and not just smoke in Los Angeles.

Through two games this season Moss has 607 yards, 2 touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He is also completing 72.7% of his passes.

Moss’ Heisman odds have skyrocketed throughout the season. At the beginning of the year, most books had his odds at +5000, he now sits at +1800 on FanDuel Sportsbook.

One thing is for sure. It’s Miller Time.
