Every NFL fan base has talked themselves into or out of their favorite team trading for Davante Adams, but the Los Angeles Rams always have to be considered when it comes to trading for elite talent. Over the years they have added numerous high-valued players via trade. It is the very strategy that led them to a Super Bowl win. In that season alone, they added Matthew Stafford, Odell Beckham, and Von Miller.
This year adding a receiver may be the thing between the 2024 Rams making or missing the playoffs. The Rams offense has struggled without Puka Nacua, likely out till November, and Cooper Kupp, whose return date is still unknown. This team was built depending on, not just, a successful offensive, but a dominant one.
Thus far, that hasn’t been the case.
For these reasons, two of the biggest sports media companies, ESPN and The Athletic , have recently named the Rams as a top destination for Adams, who officially requested a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders this week.
ESPN’s Case For Adams Trade To The Rams

Bill Barnwell doesn’t think they are at the top of the odds to trade for Adams, but he does see the one biggest benefit — extending Matthew Stafford’s Super Bowl window with the ever-increasing belief that Cooper Kupp’s career with the Rams may be over.
They could get out from the Kupp deal after this season, and given his injury issues, I wouldn’t be surprised if they chose to go in that direction. Adams could be a short- and medium-term replacement for Kupp if the 2021 Offensive Player of the Year isn’t expected to return anytime soon. With just $3.5 million in cap space, though, L.A. would need the Raiders to eat some money to get this deal done, which could make the draft capital required to complete the deal unpalatable.
Athletic’s Case For Adams Trade

Jourdan Rodrigue and the Athletic put LA among eight teams in the mix for Adams. In the article, they also include what the team may offer in the trade. WR Tutu Atwell and a fourth-round draft pick were the trade compensation.
The thought of pairing Adams with Matthew Stafford , not to mention getting at least one offensive lineman back from injured reserve for the season’s second half, makes Rams fans feel tingly inside. Les Snead should at least make the call.
