The Green Bay Packers head to SoFi Stadium to take on the Los Angeles Rams to play a game that will be season defining for both teams. The Rams desperately need a win to keep thier playoff hopes alive and the Packers will be looking to get back on track after going down by 28 points against the Minnesota Vikings.

After diving deep into the statistics of both teams, this match will come down to these three facets of the game.

3 Stats That Will Decide The Winner of Rams vs Packers

36.7 vs 49 Percent Rushing Success Rate

The Rams offense hasn’t been good since Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua were sidelined with injuries. But Kyren Williams has picked up where he left off last season. He has been the one consistent element of the offense. The Rams have the third best rushing success rate and are sixth in EPA/play when rushing this season.

The Packers defense has allowed just a 36.7 percent rushing success rate and the second best EPA/play against the rush.

If the Packers are able to limit Kyren Williams, it will grind the Rams offense to a halt.

    174 vs 165.5 Rushing Yards

This is the classic mismatch. The Packers have the second most rushing yards per game and the Rams defense is dead last in the league against the run. A part of that success was having Malik Willis in at quarterback while Jordan Love recovered from his injury, but Josh Jacobs has picked up 329 yards at a 4.6 yards per rush clip.

As a team they have picked up 21 runs of 10 yards or more, 11 of which have gone for 15 yards or more.

The Rams added Jonah Williams to their defensive line after losing Larrell Murchison to a broken foot. But thier run defense problems extend beyond the trenches. They lead the league in missed tackles and have missed 30 tackles in run defense.

151 of Jacobs yards came against the Indianapolis Colts, who are second to last against the run.

17 Pressures Vs 1 Sack vs 11 Missed Tackles

Rookie edge rusher Jared Verse tops the list for Defensive Rookie of the Years odds. He is tied for 16th with 17 quarterback pressures and leads all rookies.

But for all that effort, Verse has just one sack to show for it and that came in Week 1. He also leads the league in missed tackles, many of which have come while attempting to sack quarterbacks.

The Packers allowed 19 pressures last week, but Love was sacked just once.

It is hard to predict which of these stats will cause the biggest disruption in the game, but one of them will.
