The Las Vegas Raiders will be without starting right guard Dylan Parham for their Week 7 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams . Parham suffered a foot injury during the Raiders’ Week 6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jordan Meredith is expected to start in his place.

The Rams’ defensive front has been effective against the pass but has struggled to stop the run. This could be a challenge for the Raiders’ offensive line, especially with Parham out of the lineup.

Meredith’s main job will be to keep Rams sophomore defensive tackle, Kobie Turner , away from Aiden O’Connell, which even seasoned veterans have struggled with this season. Since joining the league in 2021 Meredith has only played 177 snaps in those four seasons. He has started just two games, including last week’s game. In that game, he acquitted himself well playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers, not allowing one pressure in 43 snaps.

Turner has been a surprise hit for the Rams. the former 90th overall pick picked up steam as his rookie season progressed. Of his 50 pressures, 36 of them came in the last eight games of the regular season, including a 10-pressure, three-sack day against the New York Giants.

Turner has picked up where he left off last season. He leads the team in pressures and sacks, and he has become so integral to the success of the defense, that they upped his snap share, playing on 62 percent of defensive snaps in 2023 to 81 percent this year. He is also a regular contributor on special teams. His 20 pressures are tied for the fifth most among interior defensive linemen.

When not faced with Turner, rookie 2nd rounder, Braden Fiske will offer a tough one-two punch to face. Fiske has the second most pressures among rookies behind his teammate, Jared Verse

The Raiders’ starting offensive tackles, Thayer Munford and Kolton Miller, and rookie starting guard Jackson Power-Johnson were also listed on the week’s injury report, but all are trending to play.
