LaGrange to hold free back-to-school celebration event

LaGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — The City of LaGrange is planning to celebrate the beginning of the school year with an event at Lafayette Square in downtown LaGrange.

The City says the event is free and open to the public. It is scheduled to take place Friday, Aug. 2 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The event is set to include live family-friendly entertainment, information about children’s activities, and free treats while supplies last.

According to the City, there will also be a movie shown on the square which starts at 9 p.m. with free concessions and the movie will be “Minions: The Rise of Gru.”
