    High temperatures for the Inland Empire and deserts

    Summer temperatures will return this weekend for the Inland Empire and deserts.

    We're looking at highs in the low 90s and upper 80s for the valleys and inland areas. Expect mid 70s closer to the beaches. Coachella Valley highs will be between 109 and 112 degrees today. High desert temperatures will range from 96 to 102 degrees.

    Here are some detailed forecasts across the Southland

    • 92 degrees in Woodland Hills
    • 75 degrees in Torrance
    • 84 degrees in Pomona
    • 109 degrees in Cathedral City

    Tonight's lows will be in the upper 50s to low 60s from the coasts to the valleys, and in the 70s to low 80s for the low desert.

    An excessive heat warning is in effect for Coachella Valley through 8 p.m. Saturday as temperatures will range between 109 to 113 degrees.
