In a fast-paced pitchers' duel, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Diego Padres Friday night to advance to the National League Championship.

The boys in blue now have home field advantage when they take on the New York Mets this Sunday in a best of seven series. The winner goes on to the World Series.

The Dodger 2-0 victory over San Diego came two solo home runs, one by Kiké Hernandez in the bottom of the 2nd and Teoscar Hernandez in the bottom of the 7th.

Dodgers's manager Dave Roberts stitched together a pitching lineup from his injury-weakened roster for two straight shutouts of the Padres.

They did so in front of a raucous sold out crowd and under a spectacular night sky.

We'll have more on the celebration and what's next.
