Faster Horses lineup 2024: Full schedule for Michigan country music festival
Faster Horses, a three-day country music and camping festival, has become one of Michigan's signature summer events since its debut in 2013. This year's headliners are Jelly Roll (Friday), Lainey Wilson (Saturday) and Hardy (Sunday). They're part of a 15-artist Main Stage lineup that also includes Cody Johnson, Old Dominion, Riley Green and more. Nashville DJ Rod Youree will be spinning throughout, taking the place of longtime Faster Horses artist Dee Jay Silver.

Politico Reports Democrats Cut Help For Congresswoman Scholten
(Grand Rapids, MI) – Politico reports Congresswoman Hillary Scholten of Grand Rapids has had some of her reelection assistance cut by the Michigan Democratic Party after she called for President Biden to not run for reelection. MLive says the Democratic Party says she was removed from a strategy call about the coordinated campaign, which is an effort between them and the Biden team to get Democrats elected. Scholten is the only Democrat in Congress from Michigan who is calling on Biden to drop out and was the tenth House Democrat to make the announcement.

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – Three Democrats are vying for the position of Washtenaw County sheriff in the Aug. 6 primary election. Alyshia Dyer, a social worker and former county sheriff’s deputy; Derrick Jackson, the sheriff’s director of community engagement; and Ken Magee, a consultant who once led the University of Michigan public safety department, are seeking to replace current Sheriff Jerry Clayton, who announced in 2022 he would not run for reelection.
