Twins to place pivotal infielder on 10-day injured list
The Twins will place Jose Miranda on the 10-day injured list prior to Sunday's game with the Giants, manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters (including Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press). Utilityman Diego Castillo will have his contract selected from Triple-A to take Miranda’s spot on the active roster and the Twins will have to make another move to clear space on the 40-man roster.
Vikings Predicted to Potentially Bench Star RB Aaron Jones During 2024 Season
The Minnesota Vikings landed themselves a star running back at value in Aaron Jones over the offseason, which was something of a positional coup for the organization. Minnesota plucked Jones out of Green Bay, no less, potentially weakening an NFC North Division rival while also ostensibly upgrading its own backfield. A reasonable question remains, however, as to whether Jones is truly a step up from third-year RB Ty Chandler at this point in his career, or if he is simply the Week 1 starter and an insurance policy against an unforeseen stunt in development on the part of his younger contemporary.

WCCO meteorologist Katie Steiner says that there's another chance for storms today, and Monday brings with it a marginal to slight risk of severe weather.Steiner says one silver lining is that the National Weather Service canceled the heat advisory for the Twin Cities. High temperatures could still flirt with 90 degrees,...
