    Lululemon thieves busted after string of burglaries in Lake Forest

    LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Three women are charged in connection with various thefts at a north suburban Lululemon that resulted in the rip-off of thousands of dollars in merchandise.

    Most recently, just before 4 p.m. on July 12, Lake Forest police said officers learned of a retail theft in progress at the Lululemon located at 680 N. Western Ave.

    According to police, three women were involved and made off in a black vehicle with a temporary registration plate.

    Police eventually stopped the suspect vehicle, arresting four women and seizing about $3,000 in stolen merchandise.

    Ashaya Garrett of Chicago and Kayla Chambers of Dolton now face a retail theft charge, a Class 3 felony. Police released the two remaining suspects without charges.

    More than a month earlier, on June 7, police say two women walked into a Lululemon, swiped several items, and left without paying. Officers tracked down the suspect vehicle, a gray Alfa Romeo SUV, resulting in the arrest of a Chicago woman and seizure of $2,8000 in merchandise.

    Cassandra King also faces a Class 3 felony charge of retail theft.

    Lake Forest police said the department continues their efforts to identify other individuals involved.
