Coroner: 35-year-old drowned while tubing in the Lehigh River
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A Bethlehem man drowned in the Lehigh River on Monday, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office confirmed Tuesday. Antwan D. Daring, 35, was pronounced dead at 4:01 p.m. Monday at the emergency department of St. Luke’s Hospital’s Allentown Campus, according to a release from Coroner Daniel A. Buglio's office.
Junior cadets graduate from Northampton Fire Department summer camp program
Bright and early on the hot, summer Saturday of July 13, 22 cadets aged 9 to 17 graduated from the week-long junior firefighter camp at the Northampton Fire Department. Marking its second annual program, the Northampton Fire 42 Summer Camp saw a major success in junior cadet turnout, which increased from 17 cadets in 2023 to 22 cadets in 2024.
Police: suspect wanted for stealing from multiple vehicles
DURYEA, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — Police in Luzerne County are looking for a suspect they say stole from several vehicles. According to the Duryea Police Department, on Monday around 1 p.m., police were dispatched to Pride Mobility on York Ave. for a report of thefts from multiple vehicles between 8:30 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. earlier that day.

A man employed by East Stroudsburg Area School District is accused of recording his fiancée's two minor daughters in the bathroom without their knowledge. John Swineford, of East Stroudsburg, was charged in May with endangering the welfare of children, invasion of privacy, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and possessing instruments of a crime.
