    Seniors receive Global Seal of Biliteracy Awards

    LAKE MILLS - Lake Mills High School has announced that three graduating seniors will be receiving the Global Seal of Biliteracy this spring in recognition of their proficiency in multiple languages.

    The Global Seal of Biliteracy, an international credential, acknowledges the language skills of candidates proficient in two or more languages and provides them with unique opportunities for advanced placement, scholarships, and enhanced employability.

    The Global Seal of Biliteracy serves as a powerful validation of language competence, allowing educational institutions and employers worldwide to quickly assess and recognize students’ language abilities.

    This credential not only validates language skills but also highlights the valuable soft skills that language learners possess, which are increasingly sought after in today's global job market.

    This year, Lake Mills High School is pleased to congratulate the following seniors on achieving the Global Seal of Biliteracy.

    - Kate Fitzgibbon: Awarded for proficiency in French

    - Lucas Lambert: Awarded for proficiency in Spanish

    - Brianna Tejeda: Awarded for proficiency in Spanish

    "These outstanding students have demonstrated exceptional linguistic capabilities, exemplifying Lake Mills High School's commitment to fostering multilingualism and global competence among its graduates," the school said in a press release.

    "The Global Seal of Biliteracy not only signifies academic achievement but also serves as a valuable asset for future endeavors. Recipients can proudly display this serial-numbered credential on their resumes and professional networking profiles, enhancing their visibility and credibility in the competitive job market."
