MOUNT HOREB -- Junior quarterback Brooks Hendrickson passed for 279 yards and two scores as Division 3 third-ranked Mount Horeb/Barneveld downed visiting Lakeside Lutheran 61-14 in a Badger Small football game on Friday.
The Vikings (7-0, 3-0 in conference) dominated from the get-go, scoring 22 unanswered first quarter points en route to their 21st straight conference win dating back to 2021.
MH/B junior running back Jack Wilson scored three rushing touchdowns and forced a safety, senior wide receiver Chris Kiel caught 10 passes for 125 yards with one touchdown and senior wide receiver Owen Preimesberger contributed three grabs for 84 yards with a score from Hendrickson, who completed 19 of his 28 passes.
The Vikings also scored twice on special teams as Preimesberger returned a kickoff 69 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter and senior Tyrus Hastings took a punt 68 yards to paydirt in the third quarter.
Wilson scored a 1-yard touchdown 1 minute, 47 seconds into the game. He added a 4-yard score later in the quarter and a 6-yard score in the second quarter to make it 30-7.
In the third quarter, Hendrickson connected with Kiel for a 37-yard scoring strike and added a 54-yard scoring pass to Preimesberger.
Lakeside senior Ben Krauklis scored on a 26-yard run in the second quarter and junior quarterback Logan Scheitinger-Strohm connected with senior wide receiver RJ Darden for a 14-yard TD in the third quarter.
The Warriors (1-6, 0-3) face Portage (3-4, 1-2) for their homecoming game next Friday.
