LAKE MILLS — Students have been celebrating homecoming at Lake Mills High School this week, with the theme of ‘Holidays.’

Each class is decorating a bench, spots on the hallways, a mascot and a banner, and a class float for the homecoming parade. Seniors have the Fourth of July, Halloween for juniors, sophomores have winter holidays and freshmen have Valentine’s Day. Students get to work on decorating according to their themes on Friday afternoon.

Students win points for their classes for participating in dress up days during Spirit Week. Monday is Tropical Beach Day, Tuesday is Dynamic Duo, Wednesday is Color Day — which are assigned based on class, Thursday is Holiday Dress Up and Friday is Spirit Day for L-Cat gear.

There have been many activities taking place throughout the week. These include Iron Man volleyball on Wednesday at 6 p.m. followed by Powder Puff football at 7 p.m. After the games, there will also be a bonfire around 8 p.m.

The homecoming parade will begin Friday at 4 p.m. at the Rock Lake Activity Center. The parade will go southeast on W. Madison St., then south on Main St. and left on E. Park Pl before arriving at the high school parking lot for the pep rally, where the homecoming king and queen will be announced.

On Friday night, the L-Cat football team will play the homecoming game against Big Foot Chiefs beginning at 7 p.m.

The homecoming dance will be held Saturday night in the Lake Mills high school gym at 8 p.m.

The community is invited to attend any activities and cheer on Lake Mills teams and students.
