NEWAYGO COUNTY, MI -- A Grand Rapids couple looking to launch a ‘green’ burial forest in Newaygo County has won a court battle against a township trying to prevent it. A green burial is billed as a way for families to bury a loved one naturally, without conventional embalming fluid and typically in a simple wooden casket or just wrapped in a cotton or linen shroud.

The team underwent a midseason coaching change when Don Fellows was arrested, suspended and later fired for drunken driving, and shortly thereafter the Red Hawks saw several key players transfer out of the program, including quarterback Grayson Fellows (Kenowa Hills), running back Jesse Phillips (East Kentwood), receiver Christopher Murphy-Ware (East Kentwood) and linemen Syncere Hobson-Washington (East Kentwood) and Decarion Raney (GR Catholic Central).
