It appears that a Chick-fil-A location is coming to Lake Oswego.

The fast food chain, which is headquartered in Georgia and known for its fried chicken sandwiches, has applied with the local government to modify the former 8,400-square-foot Stanford’s Restaurant & Bar location at 14801 Kruse Oaks Drive to open a restaurant there. The site is anticipated to open in 2024.

There are currently a few Chick-fil-A locations in the Portland metro area but none in Lake Oswego.

According to the development review application, the site will not have drive-thru lanes and retain its surface parking, which will include 70 onsite spaces as well as off-site parking.

“Unlike other Chick-fil-As in the greater Portland metropolitan area, this will be the first local Chick-fil-A that does not offer drive-through facilities.

The proposed dine-in model is expected to be replicated at other future Chick-fil-A restaurants in the region (as well as future Chick-fil-A locations that will feature Chick-fil-A drive-through services but no indoor seating) as the restaurant chain continues to expand in the market,” an application document reads.

    Stanford’s closed in 2022.
