Lake Oswego police arrest another subject related to human trafficking at local spa

The Lake Oswego Police Department arrested an additional subject in an investigation that found Flora Spa at 15630 Boones Ferry Road may have been acting as a front for human trafficking.

The investigation identified at least 10 women compelled to work at the spa who police believe are victims of human sex trafficking. Investigators suspect that the spa and some of its affiliates were involved in a trafficking operation that spread beyond Oregon.

The department had already arrested two subjects and announced Tuesday that it had arrested a third, 46-year-old Portland resident Zewu Hu.

The police conducted a search warrant and arrested Hu on a charge of promoting prostitution. Hu is being lodged at Clackamas County jail.
