    MLK Day celebration

The city of Lake Oswego and partners are putting on an event to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. While it didn’t host an event around MLK Day Jan. 15 due to the storm, the city will have the celebration at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the Lake Oswego Public Library.

The event will include the viewing of artwork from local youth, a poetry reading, musical performances and remarks from City Councilor Massene Mboup.

    Lakewood performances

The Lakewood Center for the Arts will continue its Lost Treasure series with three shows featuring one act musicals Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16-17. Actors will perform the musical “The Little Comedy,” showing the relationship between two people who have developed personas other than their own, and “Summer Share,” where members of two couples explore an affair. The shows will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday.
