Lakeridge’s Varsity Cheer Team named Athletes of the Week for Feb. 21

Following an outstanding performance at the 2024 OSAA 6A Cheerleading State Championships, Lakeridge High School’s varsity cheer team has been named Athletes of the Week for the week of February 21st.

The team secured third place in the Large Team Traditional category, marking a remarkable achievement for the squad. Their coach praised the team’s dedication, highlighting their focus on executing every detail of their routine.

“Our score of 104.3 is the highest score Lakeridge has ever received at the state championships,” this coach said. “This team is young with 10 of the 16 being freshmen and sophomores, so we are excited to see what the future holds!”
