Holum and Dodson named Lakeridge High School Athletes of the Week for Feb. 28

Holum is a senior on the Lakeridge boys’ varsity basketball team, and Dodson is a senior on the girls’ varsity swim team.

Both seniors in Lakeridge Athletics, this week’s athletes are showing out for their teams in both basketball and swim. Cole Holum and Rae Dodson have been named Lakeridge’s Athletes of the Week for the week of February 28th.

Holum, a center on the boys’ varsity basketball team, had a strong performance in the Pacers’ games against both Tualatin and Oregon City, racking up a combined total of 20 points. Holum was also named the Pacers’ “Hustle Player of the Week” for his performance against Tualatin, thanks to multiple offensive boards, deflections, and blocks.

On the girls’ varsity swim team, Dodson pulled off a record performance this year at the OSAA 6A State Championships, finishing first in the 100-yeard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.18. Dodson was also a member of the Pacers’ first place 200-yard medley relay team, her strong effort helping Lakeridge to a second-place team finish.
