Rabb and West named Lake Oswego High School Athletes of the Week for Mar. 6

Both Rabb and West are senior captains on the Lakers’ varsity ski team.

Tearing it up on the slopes for the Lakers, this week’s athletes have been bringing their leadership, positivity, and skills to the varsity ski team this season. Senior captains Nolan Rabb and Olivia West have been named Lake Oswego High School’s Athletes of the Week for the week of March 6th.

Rabb completed his senior season with an impressive 100% finish rate, finishing second or third in each of the five Three Rivers League races. Overall, he finished 2nd in the final league standings. “[Rabb] is a hard worker and very coachable," his coach says. "He's been diligent about improving his performance, and his consistency this year really shows the results of his efforts." A multi-sport athlete, Rabb mentors younger racers on the team. He takes time out of his training to share his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of Laker racers.

West finished the 2024 season in 9th place overall in Three Rivers League. A four-year racer and multi-year captain, West is a leader on the team. According to her coach, “Not only is she a role model on the hill with a dedication to the sport and a great attitude, but [she] also creates positive team camaraderie. She often has one of the loudest voices of encouragement to other racers, and she always volunteers to help with team logistics, like carrying gear or planning activities. [West] really helps the team stick together."
