Womack and Schoenheit named Lakeridge High School Athletes of the Week for Mar. 13

Womack is a senior on the Lakeridge High School boys’ varsity basketball team, and Schoenheit is a freshman on the boys’ varsity swim team.

A senior and a freshman bringing their best to Lakeridge Athletics, this week’s athletes are showing out for their teams in both basketball and swim. Luke Womack and Sylvan Schoenheit have been named Lakeridge High School’s Athletes of the Week for the week of March 13th.

Womack, a senior on the Lakeridge High School boys’ varsity basketball team, had the hot hand for the Pacers in their first-round playoff game loss to Liberty High School. He scored 20 points in the game, including 14 in the first half, as Lakeridge battled the #6 ranked Falcons to a 67-63 loss.

Schoenheit, a freshman on the Lakeridge boys’ varsity swim team, finished his first year strong for the Pacers by making it to the finals of the OSAA 6A State Swimming Championships in the 500 freestyle and placing 5th overall. At the Three Rivers League Swimming Championships, he won the 500 freestyle in a seasons best time of 4:47.12 and placed third in the 50 freestyle in a personal best time of 21.98.
