Play at Lakewood
Lakewood Theatre Company’s upcoming production of “A Few Good Men” runs until April 7 at the Lakewood Center for the Arts. The legal drama — which turned into the 1992 motion picture featuring Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise. “A Few Good Men” — takes place at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base as two marine officers receive court martials for the murder of a marine.
DEI Speaker Series
Wilsonville’s DEI Speaker Series continues with a presentation from Wilsonville residents Bob and Kiana Furughi, a Bahá’í couple from Iran, at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 4. They will share their immigration journey and the talk will focus on oppression and those who push back against it.
India’s transformation
Lewis & Clark professor David Campion will provide historical context to the events in “Honor” through his presentation “The Transformation of Modern India” at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 at the Oregon Heritage House. Campion has studied India and the British Empire in his work.
Election event
The Willamette Women Democrats will host a group of election candidates including Clackamas County Sheriff Angela Brandenburg, Clackamas County Board of Commissioners candidate Craig Roberts, Multnomah County Commission candidate Vadim Mozyrsky, Washington County Sheriff candidate Caprice Massey and Washington County Commissioner candidate Jason Snider at the Home Builders Association Conference Center at 15555 Bangy Road #100 in Lake Oswego. Heritage Tree Celebration
The Lake Oswego Public Library will celebrate the city’s new heritage trees during an event at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9. Attendees can view the 72-inch diameter giant sequoia across the street, which is a new heritage tree.
