Lake Oswego High School has appointed Tully Wagner as the new head coach for its boys’ basketball team, bringing with him a wealth of experience from coaching at North Marion, a nearby 4A school.

Wagner, who spent a decade as the head coach of the Huskies, boasts an impressive career record of 154-84. Under his leadership, North Marion secured a second-place finish in the 2015 season and fourth place in 2019.

In his new role, Wagner will be tasked with revitalizing a Lake Oswego squad that is in desperate need of a rebuild. The Lakers had a challenging season in 2023-24, finishing 3-20 while placing fifth in the Three Rivers League under interim head coach Mark Swenson.

Swenson took over after Marshall Cho’s departure at the end of the 2022-23 season, which concluded an eventful eight-year tenure at Lake Oswego for Cho.

Before his time at North Marion, Wagner served as an assistant coach at NCAA Division III Immaculata University in Pennsylvania.
