    Lake Run

The Lake Oswego Lake Run, which is a fundraiser for Northwest Housing Alternatives, will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, May 4 at Millennium Plaza Park. The event will include a 10-kilometer run, a 5 K and a Kids Dash. Register at https://lakeoswegolakerun.org/.

    Kruse Way Economic Forum

This forum, 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30 at the Kruse Oaks Conference Center, will focus on how artificial intelligence will change business. Professor Christof Teuscher with the Portland State University Maseeh College of Engineering & Computer Science, Martin Medeiros with Buckley Law and April Younglove with the Lake Oswego Public Library will be speakers.

    Lake Oswego Reads author presentation

Thrity Umrigar, who wrote the Lake Oswego Reads 2024 selection “Honor,” will deliver a presentation to the community at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25 at Lakeridge High School.

West Linn Adult Community Center to hold mini market May 1

The West Linn Adult Community Center will host a May mini market 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, May 1. With vendors selling baked goods, soaps, jewelry, flowers, wine, gift cards and more, the market is billed as the perfect place to find a Mother’s Day gift.

The Adult Community Center is located at 1180 Rosemont Road.

Church set to host charity auction

Christ Church Episcopal in Lake Oswego is hosting an auction to extend a helping hand to the 12 charities.

The event has an old-time train theme, and attendees are asked to dress in train gear or train travel attire. Enjoy the family scavenger hunt, then nosh on a beverage and hearty appetizers before setting out for Cummins Hall to bid on great adventures and fabulous getaways. (Free babysitting for ages 10 and under, with popcorn and movies! Sign up now — there are a few spots left.)

Auction items include dinner with Brad at Riccardo’s, a costumed detective party at the “Deadwood Saloon,” a trip for six to beautiful Burgundy, and — especially for families — a trip for four to Hopscotch, a visual and hands-on playground for young and old alike. Go to https://e.givesmart.com/events/BIy for even more items and delicious details.

And what could be sweeter than scoping out the Wine Wall and its wrapped mystery bottles (all worth at least $20) and taking a few home from the auction?

The last day to buy tickets is April 28. Purchase train tickets for adults ($50) and young folk ($25) at the Train Station in the Narthex. (Children under 10 participate free.) You can get your tickets at 2024CCPAuction.givesmart.com
