Naik and Greenfield named Lakeridge High School Athletes of the Week for Apr. 24

Naik is a senior on the Lakeridge boys’ varsity golf team, and Greenfield is a senior on the girls’ varsity tennis team.

Leading the Pacers’ teams in golf and tennis, senior athletes Nilay Naik and Tali Greenfield have been named Lakeridge High School’s Athletes of the Week for the week of April 24th.

Naik, a senior on the boys’ varsity golf team, is the team’s #1 player and team leader. In his third win of the season and a career low tournament round as a Pacer, Naik won the Grizzly Invite at McMinnville High Schol, shooting a 6-under 66. “[Naik] leader by example and has a tremendous work ethic,” his coach said.

On the girls’ varsity tennis team, senior Greenfield plays either 2nd or 3rd doubles for the Pacers. According to her coach, “After 28 years of teaching and coaching, Tali is very likely the best team captain I have ever had. She is a leader in every aspect of the word. Tali is talented, organized, eager, dedicated, spirited, and loyal. Her 6-2 record speaks to her ability and commitment to tennis. She is an extension of the coach on the court. Tali embodies the attributes of a true student-athlete. Her unbelievably fun and positive personality keeps the players loose and she does everything she can to help build team cohesion.”
